One clear path through the paperwork

Requirements explained plainly, applications prepared correctly, progress tracked, and documentation followed through to issue.

Overview

Polaris provides structured advisory and documentation support for maritime students, applicants, trainees and other beneficiaries throughout the education, training and documentation processes that apply to them. For most applicants the requirements themselves are not the obstacle — finding out precisely what they are, in what order, is.

Our objective is to simplify the administrative path, keep communication clear, reduce documentation errors that cause delay, and give each student an accurate picture of the requirements that apply to their situation.

Why this service matters

Most delays are documentation errors.

An incomplete file, an expired document or a mismatch between records will stop an application for weeks. Nearly all of it is preventable at submission.

Requirements differ by route and by Administration.

Generic advice from forums and social media is a common source of wasted time and money.

Someone has to follow it up.

Applications submitted and then left unattended stall. Structured follow-up is the single largest factor in getting a file to completion.

Typical deliverables

Why Polaris

A named advisor, not a queue

Each applicant is handled by a named advisor who knows the file.

Confidentiality as a control, not a promise

Student records are held under a controlled process, with access restricted and retention defined.

Direct experience of the Administrations concerned

We know how these files are processed in the jurisdictions in which we work, and what tends to cause rejection.

Frequently asked questions

No, and no one legitimately can. Issue is the decision of the Administration. What we do is ensure the file submitted is complete, accurate and correctly routed.
Yes. Advisory includes explaining the routes available, the entry requirements and the typical progression for each, so the applicant can choose on accurate information.
This depends on the route and the Administration. The first output of the engagement is a checklist specific to your situation.
Documents are held only for as long as the file requires, access is restricted to the advisor handling it, and nothing is shared with a third party without your written instruction.
